We're Ridejoy, a team of five friendly people in San Francisco helping people get rides up and down the West Coast.

We're hiring a PR & Media Specialist. It can be a part-time or full-time position; details below.

If you are:

  * Super-scrappy with a healthy amount of hustle.
  * Extremely self-motivated and comfortable asking lots of questions.

And you have:

  * At least 1-2 years of PR agency experience
  * The ability to write well and with personality
  * 10-15 hours/week on-site in SOMA, San Francisco
  * This can optionally be a full-time position if you're interested 
    in additional work outside of PR (e.g. social media, office 
    management, special projects).

Then we'd like you to help us:

  * Generate coverage through a mix of mainstream and new media channels
  * Write and edit media pitches and other communications material; compile media lists and research new targets
  * Brainstorm and implement new ways to increase Ridejoy's visibility in the public and the media

Ideally you also:

  * Have a bachelor's degree in PR/Marketing/Communications/Journalism/English
  * Are a news media junkie who voraciously pursues client media opportunities
  * Have prior experience/interest in the collaborative consumption space (ridesharing, couchsurfing, etc.)
