I never understood why a grown man buys an expensive car and doesn't want to drive it. Does he not like cars? Why buy an expensive one, then?

Instead of a self-driving car, I would pay a premium to a harder to drive car. Ah, that's called an airplane. That's why I fly airplanes.

Considering the main purpose of car is a transportation from A to B, it is reasonable to expect that some people do not want to drive car themselves, but still want to have the comfort

Of course it is not materialising, because they still try to solve this problem, using ML tools. Which is just plain idiocy and boggles my mind...
