I was in that flight. Amazing that the airline states there were no injuries and its taken as fact by almost all newspapers. Some landed from the chute on all fours and some had a few people fall on them. I tried to slow down to avoid an elderly lady at the bottom. Some people got skinned at the elbows and ankles. Pro tip: wear jeans and shoes and hold your elbows in.

We were stranded at arrival terminal for 14 hours on the cold floor/plastic chairs. This includes the ones with injured backs. We got snacks in early morning but had a final "fast" between 5 am and 12 pm which were bad for the elderly (we assume diabetic by default), pregnant and kids.

We had to fight employees in 3-4 shifts, and each heard nothing of promises made by employees of earlier employees. Later I heard Indians on Lufthansa flights face the same crap. Pro tip: always record interactions with airport staff. They got our names for a new flight and assigned some kids away from their parents.
