I've been using it for some time. I had a Mozilla Phone (with FirefoxOS) when it was still a thing, so I was prepared for the worst, but it's actually a quite vanilla Android experience (except without the Google apps) + many privacy enhancements + you can install some Google apps (e.g. Youtube) at your own convenience, in a controlled fashion (obviously, when you do that, you lose some of the benefits wrt enhanced privacy).
Been using /e/OS almost since the beginning and it is amazing how smooth the experience and combo of cloud and OS has become, and then in addition there is the privacy advantages and that it is open source. Love it!
I've been using Murena /e/OS for a few months now, and I couldn't be more impressed. As someone deeply concerned about privacy and digital sovereignty, this operating system is a breath of fresh air. The developers have done a fantastic job creating a seamless, privacy-respecting experience without sacrificing functionality or usability.
First off, the user interface is clean and intuitive. It feels just as polished as any mainstream OS, if not more so. The pre-installed apps cover all the essentials, and they respect your privacy by design, which is a massive plus. The App Lounge is surprisingly robust, offering a good selection of apps, including many popular ones that people often worry about missing out on when they switch from Android or iOS.
Performance-wise, /e/OS runs smoothly on my phone, with no noticeable lag or crashes. Battery life is also excellent, which is something I didn't expect but greatly appreciate. The system updates are regular and ensure that the OS stays secure and up-to-date with the latest features.
One of the standout features is the integration of the cloud services. The Murena cloud offers a privacy-focused alternative to Google, and it works seamlessly with the OS. It's reassuring to know that my data is stored securely and not being mined for ad targeting.
Overall, Murena /e/OS is a game-changer for anyone who values their privacy but still wants a fully functional and user-friendly smartphone experience. Kudos to the team for creating such an impressive product! Highly recommended.
I use a Murena 2 since it has been released.
100% of my apps run fine there, including a few banking apps.
I still use some G services like GMail for several accounts and MicroG does perfectly the job.
The only issue is that chromecast that does not work from the Youtube app, while it works fine from VLC.

Privacy and Freedom is that too much to ask.
