This is such a disturbing read, but it’s also so important that people hear about this and understand how truly extremist the CCP is. They must be stopped at all costs.
The EU right now tries to shoehorn surveillance of every encrypted form of messaging into law. Without public discussion, against recommendation of all experts and with duplicious goals.
EU "citizens" aren't allowed to hand in complaints if their rights are violated for that matter, the institutions that would rule over that aren't open to the normal citizen and their independence is questionable too.
If you are lucky, there are national safeguards, demonstrating nations to still be preferable to supranational organizations. Admittedly perhaps the exception of China and quite a few other countries.
The real constant here is old people being scared.
