Ask HN: Have you also started recently receiving Signal spam?

For the first time ever I've started receiving spam on Signal over the past couple of weeks. Not floods, but messages here and there which I report and block. Could this be to do with Signal's new username feature,[1] or could it just be that Signal has become mainstream enough that Spammers have invested in it?

Damn spam, Signal used to be a haven from it.
