I thought I had found an anti-plagiarism thing on a MapArt streetmap, where it shows a nearby school's race track as being a lot larger, and facing the opposite direction, and the school itself is a lot smaller.
Looking at 1978 on this aerial view shows the school and track in exactly that configuration, and in 2005 the current layout under construction, completed by 2009.
Ends up my map is from 2002, so of course it showed the old configuration, which really threw me for a loop until seeing this overlay site linked to here.
Pretty cool. Now to look at other familiar places and see when they started to look as I recognize them today!
