i wonder if something like this would be the perfect middle ground between a normal smartphone and a dumbphone. i've been considering buying a shitty nokia or something for a long time now because i just can't stand how everything is so meticulously designed to hijack my attention, but finding one that also has whatsapp, google maps and preferably apple music is just impossible.

This looks kind of useless. It's a normal power sucking Android phone with a slow monochrome screen, so it combines the disadvantages of a phone and an e-reader. And the screen is too small too, at 5.84". An Inkplate 10 is still on my shopping list, but I'd really want more like 14" (= full page pdf).
