This is really sad news. Being able to quickly say “Alexa, add bread” and know that will appear in the bakery section of AnyList has been incredibly useful. I’m not sure I can train (or want) to say “Alexa tell AnyList to add bread to my grocery list”.
I’m devastated by this. Being able to quickly capture todos and shopping list items, and then have them sync through Todoist, is one of the two or three reasons I’m still in the Alexa ecosystem. I suppose they’re in a “monetize or die” phase and the users are losing because of it.
