On mobile Firefox this page loads briefly, and is then replaced by a blank white page. I don't understand why it continues to be so difficult to make a web page
Because it rendered just fine for me in Microsoft Edge. Seriously, when it renders fine in one browser but not in another, what's a web page builder to do? Especially when they're sitting atop of a content management system which in turn are sitting atop of mountains of web frameworks?
This has been the problem of web for the past 30 years - the renderer takes an input and produces a rendering of that input. Who knows what result you're going to get?
The page loaded for me, but I got bombarded with modals asking me to disable my ad blocker and accept cookies, so it's unreadable anyway.
I usually resort to archive.is for cases like this, but I've tried that twice on this page and it fails. Oh well, that's the end of my procrastination break.
Controlling population growth is mostly a red herring. In most countries births have already peaked. We can be quite sure that the total population will peak also quite soon. Also, any action taken would require many decades to show any difference. Climate change requires decisive action effective within the next 20 years.
But more importantly: the creation of CO2-Emissions is very unevenly distributed. Even if there were only 1 billion humans on the planet, if they emitted as much carbon as the average US citizen, climate change would still be an issue. So the one action to take is carbon-neutrality. Fortunately, we have all the necessary technologies, we need to strongly push for their global rollout.

Stop trying to do weird things, and let the user be in control; that strategy has worked fine since the beginning.
Fix their obviously broken thing, of course.
