Base-model economy EV's should sound like cheap kitchen appliances.

Loaded top-end EV's should sound like Vader's Super Star Destroyer.

I find the quiet hum they make very unsettling

Don't tell that to the Hyundai Ionic N.

I was at a Honda dealer a few weeks ago. Some guy comes out and hops in an SUV. He puts it in reverse and I hear what sounds like a choir of angels:

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."

Things are going to be getting pretty weird.
