It’s quite common to redirect water sources like this. If the waterfall naturally existed in the same spot before, I don’t see what the problem is.
Niagara Falls has been overhauled before too. The water was diverted a while back so it could be redirected for power generation and they control how much goes over the falls and they schedule it so it looks nice during daylight/high-tourist hours. Maybe not as bad as a pipe sticking out of the rock though.

tons of fake stuff in China, here's a short list to blow your mind

- people would spray paint mountain/rocks/dirt to be green, to fool the environment bureau

- fake and toxic food, such as eggs made of plastic byproducts, noodles made with ink and parafin

- retaining wall in apartment buildings made up of dirty and rocks

Those similar things would happen in every country.
Uh, no ?

I honestly would not expecy to find spray-painted dirt anywhere here in europe to appear to look green.

In the US? Somehow I would expect to see that.

It's commonly used here to prevent erosion.
1. Where is "here"?

2. What kind of paint prevents erosion?

Probably confusing it with spray grass seeds. From a distance, it does look a lot like green paint on dirt before it starts growing. Commonly used in the US for landscaping post-construction, especially after road work on steep slopes.
