That's manufacturing of solar modules, specifically. Is it safe to assume that most of them are made from Chinese solar cells?
whose the best supplier of calculator panels? do they grow on trees yet?
my tree emoji was censored :
Good.

This isn't iMessage.

(It's usually annoying/saving nobody any time or effort there, as well.)

HN strips emoji from posts to prevent people from having fun.

You're doing what the power is encouraging, though?
There's emoji ⌚ police?
Big Oil Companies like BP make good 30 year panels.

How ironic.

Who are the manufacturers?

Some shell companies setup to collect government green bucks.

We all know this article is full of crap.

What state is the leading producer?

Looked into solar, annualized return around 4.5% after inflation reduction act incentives. Also hurts to have child tax credits count first if you have a few kids as the feds won’t reimburse if you go below zero too much.

Still makes sense to pay off the mortgage.

I am assuming you are in the US. Is the low return on solar due to high installation costs, particularly labor? At least in Texas, this is the reason commonly given by people. My friend installed it all by himself. He has a large yard with limited tree cover so he didn't have to install it on the roof. He told me he saved thousands even after accounting for his time.
Yes, also our state doesn’t force utilities to pay you market rate for the power generated in excess.
