It has been a very long time since I used my Gravatar anywhere. So, it's a pleasant surprise that it is alive and kicking.

On a tangential note, I tried to read the announcement on Google Chrome mobile and it was simply unbreakable. The reason could be that I have switched-on the dark mode flag. I also tried it on Vivaldi with the Dark Theme flag on and the result was similar. To me, it seems that the colour palette of the site doesn't lend itself well to dark mode. Not sure if I'm alone in my experience.

Experienced the same thing with Harmonic's dark mode. More likely a problem with how the elements are structured and styled than a problem with the palette.

Seems like a good endpoint to add to Privytar[1][2] as well, but looking at the announcement post at the Gravatar blog, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with where they're headed from a privacy perspective.

I was looking for an excuse to update the project and upgrade to Go 1.22; I guess I just found one.

This is making me imagine what a vCard powered profile service could look like… I'm not seeing anything here that vCard doesn't already support.
