Can I try to change your mind? You probably consider yourself a patriot, one who cares about individual freedoms, the right of each man to live, pursue happiness, etc. And the imposition of vaccine as a flagrant injunction on one's liberty.
If one wants to die, what's the state's business to say no? Enough with the nanny state.
That's one way to see it.
Another way to look at the problem is this: morality is when you do something that's not in you immediate interest, but in the interest of the greater good. It's society's answer to prisoner's dilemma. Don't steal, don't kill, don't lust for your neighbor's wife, don't lie, don't commit adultery, all the Commandments, why all that? Stealing, killing, lying, sleeping around, you can do those and have great, huge personal benefit. Why the interdiction? Because society is better off if we all abstain from doing those.
When I take the vaccine, I don't weight my personal risk and benefit. I weight my risk vs the society's benefit.
I guess you don't do that. Good for you. It's a free country. But do you see why I don't think you are a good person, like you think you are?
