I grew up watching him on tv whenever planetary missions did something great. So, I saw him a lot and admired him even more. A true giant has passed.
Truly RIP.

I stopped counting the number of times I have watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp4t_5v_y_0 that features him prominently as the scientific director of the Voyager missions.

I can't remember well but I was either in my second or third year of college when I saw this documentary for the first time.

What a sad day!

I didn’t have the good fortune to personally know or work with him but I'll always remember his brisk pace when he walked around campus, even in his later years. I like to imagine he was always going to something very important and urgent.
If you read anything about this man, you come away feeling like this man was a giant.

His 1980's Voyager news conferences on are YouTube. They are astounding to watch, in an of themselves, and also to observe the skill in which Stone presents the findings.
