The wide variety of life forms on planet earth is nothing short of remarkable. As much as our technology today is incredible, it just doesn’t match the natural world in terms of sheer complexity. Evolution of innumerable species that evolve together over billions of years is a form of gradient descent that only a Dyson sphere could calculate. Truly remarkable and humbling. I think it would do a lot of technologists good to contemplate nature.

Actually, I was saying that technologists should be humble because their inventions pale in the face of nature’s inventions (including but not limited to the human brain). It’s ironic that this summary was generated by mistral? Because it completely missed my point.
Oh ok your comment just sounded like an AI summary. And yeah the main point was that nature can do things that technology cannot. When I say technologists need to be humble it’s because their inventions do not compare to nature’s inventions in many areas, especially microtechnology. When I hear someone like Sam Altman claim that chatGPT will achieve human level intelligence soon, I just find that to be laughable. It’s been well established that nature has accomplished something much more impressive with the human brain.
How exactly did I “use the bot insult”? When I said the “AI” missed my point? I misread the username and thought it said mistral. It was an honest misunderstanding. Are you disagreeing that the comment resembled an AI-generated text summary? I’m sorry people are insulting you but that literally has nothing to do with the above exchange. And yes I am direct but respectful when talking to AI. If it gets something wrong I don’t sugarcoat it, I tell it directly that it’s wrong. That’s pretty much what I do when talking to people too.
I'm absolutely disagreeing with your judgment that the thing looked like an AI summary. You're just a bad reader. To a good reader, all text is either helpful and truthful or not helpful and untruthful. That makes some AI texts helpful and that also makes most human texts unhelpful. A bad reader can't tell the difference.
And I'm disputing your right to call people AIS just because they look like an AI summary
I'm disputing your right to judge AIs even if they are an AI summary
I'm requesting you to read all texts and decide if they are true or not based on their logic and merits and connection to reality
I'm requesting you to be compassionate to all people and all beings that you talk to
Well actually, technically I wasn’t saying that “mistrial” looked like an AI. I was saying their comment looked AI generated. Which really seems to have set you off. Are you sure you’re not an AI? Because you seem quite offended that I made a joke about AI’s reading comprehension.
i find it interesting, to see technologist humbling in front of sheer complexity, when is sparse over billions of years. What people were able to achieve in such a (seems always shorter) frame, it's nothing easy to live with
The natural world has evolved just as many ways to be miserable and sick and in mind shattering agony as ways to be alive. Perhaps many more. Don't forget that when you ask for your humility. You should also ask for a sense of cosmic horror for this hellish prison we find ourselves trying to claw out of.
If a God created the natural order, with its unending beauty and horror, then surely, on the balance of things, they were either more than a little sadistic and evil
... or they were purely insane.

I "completely" missed your point?

Moreover I'm demanding that you be logical.
I'm demanding that you be compassionate.
