Apparently the answer is No, unless I missed something.
Not exactly a no, more like "No, but they are letting it die"

I mean the article basically clarifies, they're killing it through in-action, it's basically stagnant and postgresql is eating it for lunch by basically every metric.

Oracle is the best sales force in the software industry.

It's absolutely amazing how much money they are making with such little product.

Mysql is a great database.

100%. If only oracle db was as good as its sales team. same is true for basically all SAP products.
I better clarify - Killing MySQL as Open Source database.

Oracle might totally be successful selling MySQL Heatwave in Oracle Cloud, though it has little value for Open Source MySQL Community
