You can define 'C' macros to replace the curly braces with #BEGIN and #END if you like, but it makes you look like you'd rather be writing Pascal. In which case, you are fighting the language, not embracing it. It's not a great idea.

I feel like if you don't like writing Python, write something else. I hear good things about "Go" and it has curly braces.
