Descriptions of the Prisoner's Dilemma typically suggest that the optimal policy for each prisoner is to selfishly defect instead of to cooperate. I disagree with the traditional analysis and present a case for cooperation.

Iterated and multi-agent Prisoners Dilemma goes through all of this. In repeated games with communities there are many successful strategies that are cooperation dominant.
This essay really made me rethink the Prisoner's Dilemma - the argument that cooperation can be the optimal strategy when considering dependencies and correlations between players is refreshing. Enjoyed hearing a challenge to the traditional assumption of selfish defection
