Just wanted to share something cool with you: it’s an open source tool called nxs-data-anonymizer that's super handy for managing sensitive data in databases. It helps you anonymize data securely, whether you're working on production setups or testing environments.
If you have a dynamically developing project with a frequently changing database structure, you won’t have to adjust the anonymizer config every time with one of the latest features. Depending on the type of entities in security settings our tool anonymizes the columns for tables with described rules in the filters section. nxs-data-anonymizer allows you to exclude undescribed data from the resulting dump. So, no more worries about leaking sensitive info when you're testing or developing new features.
Also what's neat about it is that the security enforcement rules have become more flexible.
nxs-data-anonymizer release gives you the ability to customize via config file the rules to mask the values in accordance with the type of columns.
Check it out if you're dealing with data security in your projects—it's been a game-changer for us!
We’re looking forward to improving our tool so we’d love to see any feedback, contributions, or report any issues you encounter!
