Ask HN: What libraries allow resilient distributed computing/network/storage?

What technology/github libraries do you use to build a distributed network of nodes (individual clients) which can perform computing, network calls to the internet, store data for distribution by other nodes?

GUN.eco seems interesting but I don't understand the underlying tech?

Bitorrent based library seems to provide the distribution but no way to direct and control computing/network on peers.
