It's one thing to homebrew something on your own after reading Elektor or Dr. Dobb's... it's another thing to homebrew up a sport on your own that involves floating on a homemade board in the sea. A true hacker!
This is what the internet should be about. I love it when I go online and find something interesting and on the surfacing seeming ridiculous like this and being able to use the internet to deep dive.
It's something of a contradiction, isn't it? They have to put armed guards along a border hundreds of miles long to keep people in, while inside they can take month long vacations and go surfing anywhere they want.
