10 years ago pretty much to the day I exited my first startup - a sports data platform I started with friends at 19 years old and helped build into a £25m company - all to pursue my dream of becoming a filmmaker.
I got pretty good at it too, I made a TV show for Amazon, filmed a couple of documentaries, and premiered a film in Leicester Square. I've worked with A listers, influencers, up and comers and everyone in between.
But I still missed the tech world. I missed the challenge, the nerdery of deciding between 99 Javascript frameworks, the late-night urgent bug fixes, the 99 things going wrong for every one that goes right.
So I'm back. This time solving a problem I came across on my journey - that most people who make videos don't actually want to edit them.
That's why I'm announcing Static, the AI powered video editor that helps creators and brands make content faster than ever before. It's been in development since January and the beta will be coming soon.
