Ask HN: Background Reading for Flask

I'm trying to learn Flask as I am learning Python for work and I think it would be neat to be able to build websites with it. I went through the Quickstart and Tutorial in the Flask docs and I feel like the whole way through I wasn't totally sure what they were doing. Is there some recommended background reading I should do before I dive into Flask?
