[–] egberts1 2y ago ↗ So ... much ... data ... losses ... then.First noticed that when we tried to put Internet thru a satellite in 1994.FTP would successfully complete its DATA transfer but the file would "mysteriously " have 1 or more bit error.It was a time that we took FTP integrity for granted.Even rsync failed. Had to fallback to XMODEM-16, et. al., then.
