My jaw was unperturbed. Seems to increase brightness on some variants of the OG console, cool and technically impressive, but hardly worth writing home about or spending $100 on.
I'm rather excited to see a blog post somewhere explaining how and why this works. Considering the amount of effort the mod's creator underwent, it seems like that would be quite the treat.

Modern retro-consolers keep trying to get the old pixel graphics games to be sharper and brighter. I guess because the actual pixel style has become aesthetically appreciated but the old games were designed to be blurry on a CRT screen so the colours and lines blended properly.

It's not modern retro-console styling, it's literally making it act like Nintendo's own initial refresh.
or just use RGB cable and bypass all this nonsense.
