Debatable. I think it's to playful. I really like more clean, flat designs. E.g. tags waste a lot of space. If I add more than like 5 tags, they seem to use a lot of screen estate.
Haven’t tried the app itself too much, but that UI is great. Really love the modern approach to skeumorphism. Whoever your frontend designer/dev is, you’re lucky to have them.
