Etsy should do more to curate the product listings. There are a lot of low quality items on there that look like they came from a discount wholesaler. I’d nerf those items in the search results and boost original creations.
The UI of the site could be improved as well. It takes too many clicks to get to an item description. Why isn’t that listed up front?
This is an interesting marketing spin after having just watched this video[0] 2 weeks ago that goes into Etsy being flooded with cheap knock off garbage being produced in factories are resold as "handmade"... to the point that other websites are popping up to be what Etsy used to be.
Etsy has been a sham for over a decade. If they stuck to hadmade goods they would not be in lowest common denominator competition selling cheap chinese garbage.
