The Republican party is the de-facto party of exploitative plutocrats. As reflected by their tax policy for the last half century plus, by their repeal of anything limiting business. Tech bros might pay homage & try to pump their rebel thinker cred by declaring for this shit show, but there is zero interest whatsoever in reeling in the excessive capitalism & unchecked growth-for-shareholders-at-any-cost mentality that is toxified this poor sad exploited misbegotten world.
Part of the furror against Biden is that he is the first dude in a generation to turn the tables at all against big business. Linda Khan's FTC might not be winning ever case but a) no one has tried making a case in many decades b) the FTC is showing continual signs of learning & adapting & improving as it tries to find its flaws & fangs.
The blowback against the Democrats had never ever been fiercer. There are vast vast powers that be, and many of them have acquired much of the media. The narrative being so strongly tilted against Biden, trying to undermine him at every turn & report so little negativity on the other guy, is, I think, 70% a reflection of how annoyed the imperialist fatcats are at having someone actually trying to strike a balance of power.
