A gasoline truck, surely going too fast, hit a freeway hazard in Oakland and burnt up the road while, ironically, on its way to deliver gasoline to a service station.

Going fast, as everyone knows, usually saves time, but sometimes can have disastrous side effects.

Should first blame for the crash go to the Caltrans road engineers?
