For some context, this paper is currently being destroyed by people who actually know about autism, as its effectively a study on how well autistic girls can mask. On reading the paper, one part I found particularly interesting was "The family consulted a naturopathic doctor who guided them in some DNA-targeted precision medicine using the IntellxxDNA genomics tool" [...] "Both twins had several genetic variants, which may increase their risk of systemic inflammation". I wonder if any of those "Generic Variants" could have contributed to their autism? That's a paper I'd be interested in reading
Either the symptoms got less bad or the girls learned how to mask their autism, which isn't actually very helpful for them. The test they did to determine if they were still autistic was a pen and paper test, not something like an MRI which would let you see if anything had actually changed brain-wise
