John Mayall brought to the world the Eric Clapton we know today. Their 1966 album "Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton" changed everything in rock music. That is when the highly cranked Marshall guitar amplifier and the Gibson Les Paul (brought out of retirement) came to life and became the icons they're known for today.

RIP John Mayall. You, your protégés, their protégés, and those they've all influenced, have brought us a lot of great music!

Texas guitarist, songwriter & bandleader Carolyn Wonderland [0] toured with Mayall starting in 2018 in some of his later years.

She started out not seeking the spotlight herself, also for the love of music.

Such a great album. Every time I scroll by it — right after John Hiat and right before John Mayer on the playlist — I give it a listen. This is an album my uncles told me to listen to after I started listening to Led Zeppelin so that I could start to learn the history of Rock & Roll.
