Bullshit. That is one study in one country. Meanwhile, other audiologists indpendently launched studies after noticing an increased incidence of tinnitus & hearing-loss patients after COVID vaccinations. I was seen by one of the earliest to document this and write a paper, and the next one I saw affirmed enthusiastically that this is a "true agent" and information about it has been suppressed. Why the mania for denial?
When a vaccine researcher himself suffered hearing damage, he had to mince words and refrain from speaking out for fear of being "canceled." As a result, thousands, tens of thousands, or more have had their lives degraded for no benefit.
And still we see efforts to suppress and deny this information right here. Pathetic.
FWIW, adverse outcomes of COVID vaccines are both rare and mild in comparison to the effects of an actual infection. Yeah they weren't the best of the best vaccines we've had, but they still saved lives, from both death and disability. Long COVID is no joke.
The ORIGINAL infection. By the time the second boosters came around, they were of minimal benefit and thus the risk/reward ratio was much much higher than people were warned of. So our hearing is permanently ruined for a fucking USELESS second booster.
Shingles vaccine is recommended for 50+ in US, 65+ in UK, and 70+ in Australia. Is the lower age in the US based on studies, an artifact of public health funding in UK and AUS, or is there little benefit before retirement age?
Also curious how long the vaccine lasts. I've heard a number of versions of dunno from health workers and doctors.

[ 2.8 ms ] story [ 46.5 ms ] threadHearing loss is associated with increased dementia risk (in addition to overall quality-of-life degradation, of course). So this could be a toss-up.

> The study data suggested no increased risk for SSNHL following any COVID-19 vaccination.
> Our findings do not suggest an increased risk of sudden sensorineural hearing loss or vestibular neuritis following mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccination.

I could be wrong but even if you're willing to pay privately, you won't find healthcare provider wanting to do this off label.
