it truly takes a second for the site to register visually :-) haha

amazing work Guy! and amazing projects........!!!!

News: Show HN: HN hacked to show newsworthy hacker ideas
Incredibly sick. Common Guy W. Keep 'em coming dude!!
The upvotes are a nice touch. Been able to affect a portfolio site makes it a bit more interesting. But with just one vote I can't cause too much damage.
Yeah, thanks! I think that's what makes it actually kinda work. And if you clear cookies you get as many votes as you want :P
You should think about randomizing the list of projects so as to not affect the votes via primacy effect
Yeah, I didn't initially have multiple ways to sort but added that in later yesterday so this is probably a good idea as a default. Though it would cancel out the real-time leaderboard aspect (projects move up automatically) a little bit. And truthfully getting any eyes on older projects on the internet is such a W in my book. I'ma think about this more, good suggestion.
Nice. I upvoted a few projects.

If I click on your name at the top, it goes to https://www.guycombinator.net/news that is a 404.

Perhaps you should make all the "Guy" in every post also clicky. (It's more natural to click on the name of the submitter of on post than on the name in the title bar.)

Lol fun idea. By the way the logo / top left 'G' in your site links to ycombinator, not sure if intended, but i would expect it would go to your site (perhaps bio/about?).
not intended, but I think it's only fair to leave _some_ link back to the original. I don't have much else to link to besides what's at the bottom at the moment.
I think a look similar to Pinterest or Google+ is better suited rather than HN to show your portfolio
I think you are right, but if you look at my projects you'll see I have very little interest in practicality!
I wish my first name rhymed with "y" so I could make my portfolio domain name clever.
