I bought a motherboard with an integrated Intel C2xxx atom cpu back in 2015. It was running fine and until it just died after 1 1/2 years. Turned out to be a design failure on the CPU. https://www.theregister.com/AMP/2017/02/07/intel_atom_failur...

And recently I have bought a possibly broken 14 gen i9 cpu.

Oh yeah I remember that. There were so many offers on eBay that were very tempting when that issue came out, but instead I coughed up the money for the Atom C3xxx series and the board still works to this day in a lovely 8 bay Norco chassis (looks like this: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800663435752.html)
I was enjoying my laptop's i7-13850HX. Murphy's Law seems likely to strike me again with this one croaking in a few months...
“Intel” should be in the title somewhere.
