Initiative aims to require EU game publishers to make retired games playable (pcgamer.com)

Some government regulation of medicine, food, cars, and other essential goods makes sense, but I think it's strange for a government to regulate video games. If publishers retire playable games, that should lower the price at which they can sell new games.
