Given that maximum legal donation is $3,300 per candidate per election… where will you be donating that part of your donation above that threshold?

(I'm foreign, so won't be donating, but am curious.)

See my other comment, on the backend they’re splitting donations above the personal per candidate per election limit across multiple candidates and elections, while allowing the contributors to specify a custom split that remains within applicable limits.

The duopoly knows how to siphon the cash as required.

Don’t worry, I’m sure your smaller parties are competent enough to rules lawyer as well.
FYI, not sure what you have in mind, but: https://www.fec.gov/help-candidates-and-committees/candidate...
> Harris Victory Fund accepts contributions of up to $929,600 from a person and $415,000 from a multicandidate committee (“PAC”). The first $6,600/$10,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to Harris for President, with the first $3,300/$5,000 designated for the primary and the next $3,300/$5,000 for the general election. The next $41,300/$15,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to the DNC. The next $510,000/$255,000 from a person/PAC will be split equally among the Democratic state parties from: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY. Any additional funds will be allocated to the DNC, subject to applicable contribution limits.

In other words they’ve got an algorithm for that.

Yes, exactly. I'm most motivated by the first $6,600 that go directly to the Harris campaign, and subsequently by the donations that go directly to battleground states -- but the hope here is that the matching proves successful at getting other folks to donate, which ends up being higher-leverage for everyone.

The Harris Victory Fund (the linked-to thing) is where I'm planning on making my contribution. (I'd do this as "up to $500k from each of me and my wife.")

I’m enticed, I just wish I wasn’t a) out of the US (emigrated to escape blast radius of Trump 1.0) and b) what we in Blighty call “skint” at the moment.

Unfortunately the two incentive payments from Der VannabeunFührer went to BLM and abortion access, respectively.

Godspeed on this one.

Feed the war victims that every candidate will keep increasing, match donations for food not pointless things.
