Why is Israel bombing and killing as it pleases, but then the US (and the UK, and other western countries) must protect it from the consequences of its actions?
The West has a reasonable interest for this not to become a truly all out war (which can go nuclear in extreme scenarios).

P.S Israel did not start this war

> Israel did not start this war

What do you mean? It didn't bomb a foreign leader in the center of a foreign capital? Or you mean it didn't illegally occupy Palestine for the last six decades?

I mean it didn't start this war, simple as that. Iran can make excuses all it wants (defenders of Palestine my ass) but it started this war.

Israel isn't bombing and killing as it pleases. If several groups could stop attacking it, we would immediately have peace. The aggression is completely one-sided.

Iran has been instigating violence against Israel for decades. They are happy to sacrifice Arab lives and the people in countries surrounding Israel for their own cause.

If Israel were to defend itself alone, it would probably lead to even more drastic measures with quite terrible weapons of war.

The leadership of Iran is a fundamentalist and totalitarian Government that only survives because it can point to allegedly external threat. A strong message towards that government can even save lives in the long term.

You mean that Israel would leave the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which has been illegally occupying for decades?
