Bipping? Had to google that.

"Bipping is a slang term for a type of car break-in in San Francisco that involves breaking into unattended cars with little noise. The term may have originated from the sound of breaking porcelain sparkplug pieces thrown at car windows, but today thieves more often use a rescue car escape tool called a resqme device."

I think using a term like that must be a specific planned clickbait technique.

It's pretty commonly used in the Bay Area, so I don't think so. Just a bit of local flavor.

I had no idea what bipping meant either, and wanted to remove it from the title (I don’t think it adds any context). Ended up keeping it just in case someone thought that would be editorializing though.
