is there a thesis in here somewhere? I couldn't even figure out the referent of the titular river of meat conceit.

> Thesis is that he votes for Independents?

Unless Yarvin has changed* over the past decade (last I'd seen he was arguing for monarchism), I don't think he's in favour of voting.

* Nita's response to Steve Johnson in those comments leads me to update my prior of "unchanged" to an even heavier weighting. Given that, the mapping to 1984 is obvious: Yarvin is just another dissatisfied Outer Party grumbler who would love to get the proles on his side long enough to become the new Inner Party, without, however, doing anything lasting for them.

[does the spectrum of vinny count multiplicities, or has that been forgotten along with any non-commutative parts of the free vinny?]

EDIT: among some of the stranger conspiracy theories which my wife believes is that Gartenzwerge indicate linksextreme sympathies; guess she never read HPR or Herr Resch would be an obvious counterexample?

(in the States, I had to read GG's Die Blechtrommel, so maybe if I dip into HPR I'll stick with Das Pferd Max)

EDIT2: from the slatestarcodex creation myth: "they multiplied far past the numbers of those who had stayed in the swampland" — strictly speaking, this isn't true; if we judge that creators make things in their image, the numbers say the demiurge be either a protist or a star

Something, something, endless supply of puppets:

Some individuals may promote their causes by bringing like-minded editors into the dispute. These editors are sometimes referred to as meatpuppets, following a common Internet usage.

Well, I hate to be derogatory. But I just can’t bring myself to adore the river of meat.

We will no longer import, bribe, invent, or otherwise create meatpuppet or sockpuppet voters.
I'm a fan of puppet on puppet violence in certain contexts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzXhgszDPcQ
Good on them for breaking the 1st floor!

For (purported) tragedy instead of (admitted) comedy, see some of Sam Raimi's finest work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV_dgZ7yD-M

(Thanks for the clarification as to Yarvin; if he's no fan of Ellis Island, why not be the change he wishes to see, returning thither from wherever his ancestors came, and leaving at least his part of the City to —if any remain— the Ohlone?)
