Some executive in S&P Global has set himself for life with such a contract regardless of the outcome.

Bonuses if it succeed, or gifts /job in Accenture if it fails will be huge either way.

If there’s a revolving door between government regulators and private industry, then there’s probably a revolving door between private companies as well.

I would expect something to at least be a violation of a company contract; but given this is America. I am not surprised

Just when one would think AI hype is fizzling out.

What does "training all 35K staff in generative AI" even mean?

I have no clue, but I'm pretty sure it won't be cheap.

It’s ACN, it’s going to be cheap. But you end up paying when you need to fix the problems they introduced.
In other words, not cheap :-P
Why would they pay the bottom of the barrel consulting firm? This must be a joke, or maybe ACN got them a _good_ deal (ie, cheap labor).

Last time I worked with ACN engineers, it was usually people fresh out of college and off shore. The solution to “delays” in time tables was to throw more people at the problem.

Also, y’all remember the Hertz and ACN failure?

The productivity of bottom of the barrel code monkeys benefits from generative AI.

They produce shit code in bulk. The worst thing is they produce shit code faster, but copilot may actually improve the quality of the code.

Most would be very Jr analysts, the more experienced people at Accenture are usually the Managers and Senior Managers levels (internal levels 7 downwards)

All terribly paid and an excellent poaching opportunity for companies looking for good technical people (they are usually very good)

I'm happy for the two junior VPs who just got themselves promotions by spearheading this strategic collaboration
A deal this large. No way it was given to foot soldiers to close. This was a back channeled deal between S&P and ACN. Bonuses for the C-levels. Pumping the stocks for both companies
Training in 'generative AI' for them is probably going to tell them how to prompt engineer in ChatGPT Web and create custom ones. I doubt it will be anything more than that
So 35k people have a mandatory Udacity course? Gen AI has gone from the cool kid to corporate check box in record time.
Former S&P employee. The incoming CEO is ex Accenture. Friends rewarding friends :)
