It's my github post and I wanted to post it on HN but being new to this I was surprised that submitting my link merged it to an existing post.
Merging multi-viewports but not docking (when they're both in the same branch) doesn't sound like fun, but I guess the code is largely separate.

I can definitely relate to concerns about new features attracting new users with less expertise and more questions; it's something I've directly experienced, albeit on a much smaller scale.

Fascinating read! Thanks to the author. What a great and useful library. I use it in my scientific visualization library Datoviz, totally outside of the game industry but still vastly useful to scientists.

I guess I should be happy that there are 13 somewhat enthusiastic contributors, but for a project as worthy as dear imgui, I feel a bit sad instead.
