Do you ever find it hard to find specific devices for QA Testing?

I’ve noticed that some devices are really hard to find online over the past few years as a QA Tester. Wondering if this is something others have experience with. Would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions for sourcing devices that are hard to find.

If the device is really hard to find, how many of your end users are really going to be running it.

Really you just have to try and buy a handful of devices, test on those and then move on if your day. Particularly when it comes to Android, there's probably a few hundred devices released per year .

If Billy Bob with a $35 Android phone can't run your app, there's a good chance he's not your target user in the first place.

Thanks for the response! that is a good point. I guess I’m more concerned with the case where a device is definitely needed but hard to find and how people accomplish that.
