Title is a cut down synopsis of the video.

The creator cites sources close to the excavation, stating that any substantial work should wait for her technology.

This is not shocking. Scientists love to portray the idea that they simply are pursuing the science wherever it leads them as some altruistic goal of gaining knowledge. Many are that way but once people have considered the science settled they become as dogmatic as any religious person and is political as any politician to defend their stance. I don't know what this site will reveal and the problem is they don't know either but they do know it is an anomaly that has the power to call into question much of the ancient history that we know.

Another example where scientists were dogmatic in their stance rejecting the evidence was with the age of the Sphinx. Egyptologists knew the age of it and it was accepted as settled science that it could be nothing else but what they said and they were dogmatic in that position. All of a sudden a geologist came along and said hey this doesn't look right because the weathering you have here is clearly not from Sand erosion it's from water based erosion and quite a large volume of water based erosion. So clearly this must have been older than what you claim. That set off a massive battle which I'm not sure is completely settled to this day. On one side you have the geologist that are simply doing their best to understand the geological data at the site the other side you have the dogmatic egyptologists that must preserve Egyptian history as we currently understand it.

This scenario almost seems like they have learned from their past mistakes and they're going to refuse to allow anyone in to examine it to gain more data so their dogmatic beliefs do not get called into question. This is why layman have such a distrust for those who claim to be scientists. Because there are enough examples of educated people who are scientists holding fast to dogmatic beliefs and not to the core principles of science. Granted that is not most scientist I believe most scientists are honest in their pursuits but there is enough powerful ones that are dishonest that taint the perception across the entire field.

It's common in modern Archeology to minimise site clearance unless it's rescue archeology. Ground Penetrating radar wasn't even a dream in the days of Mortimer Wheeler and Flinders Petrie. Re-burial isn't exactly uncommon either.

I think because we've had recent findings from Gobekli Tepe tell us that the story of early settlement is more complex than we thought, people are now wondering what else waits to be found at the site. In due course, future selves will know, I am content to wait for technology improvements to either identify places to dig, or to avoid digging at all.
