As a Pro Max user, I kinda get it. But I’m also 190cm/6feet 2.5inches and I have zero issues fitting in my pockets so there’s that. The battery you get with the max is beyond good in my experience. I’m still using an 11 because I like to use and abuse my devices, my battery health is at 76%, Apple is suggesting a replacement and for the use I do if the phone I can still go a full day no problem.
At your size, I can see they making sense. I’m much shorter, and the Pro Max is comically large when I hold it.
I think phones need to be designed with difference people/hand sizes in mind. 40% of people aren’t 6’ 2”.
On the battery health front. Apple will slow the phone down once it is below 80% so you can still get all day battery life. There is a toggle in the settings to switch between prioritizing battery life or speed. If you notice the phone seems slower, a new battery should solve that. But if you are happy with both the performance and battery life, then keep doing what you’re doing.
I’ve lost track of what the latest model is, the upgrades are so minute and forgettable now. Are they just going to keep releasing new models every year? Are we going to reach iPhone 50 by the time I die?
No, the lead time for the design of new iPhone models is over a year. It has been the case for a number of years now that the first details already leak before the preceding model has launched.

Absolutely and the fact that there’s no good option for people who enjoy small phones is a bummer.
But, I think I'll be in line to buy one.
Wow. More than a MacBook. /s
