/rant hope we also get some sane pricing RAM baseline increase for mactops...
There's a rumor that 16 GB will be the minimum for the M4 generation.
> Pro Max currently accounts for nearly 40% of new model shipments

As an iPhone mini lover, this stat blows my mind.

Same. I want something that fits in my pocket. The Mini is perfect.
As a Pro Max user, I kinda get it. But I’m also 190cm/6feet 2.5inches and I have zero issues fitting in my pockets so there’s that. The battery you get with the max is beyond good in my experience. I’m still using an 11 because I like to use and abuse my devices, my battery health is at 76%, Apple is suggesting a replacement and for the use I do if the phone I can still go a full day no problem.
i am not that tall around 5'4 but the 15 pro size is perfect for me. it doesnt have bigger battery but the size and hand fit makes up for it for me
At your size, I can see they making sense. I’m much shorter, and the Pro Max is comically large when I hold it.

I think phones need to be designed with difference people/hand sizes in mind. 40% of people aren’t 6’ 2”.

On the battery health front. Apple will slow the phone down once it is below 80% so you can still get all day battery life. There is a toggle in the settings to switch between prioritizing battery life or speed. If you notice the phone seems slower, a new battery should solve that. But if you are happy with both the performance and battery life, then keep doing what you’re doing.

Absolutely and the fact that there’s no good option for people who enjoy small phones is a bummer.

The current version is 15, so the title is probably wrong.
I’ve lost track of what the latest model is, the upgrades are so minute and forgettable now. Are they just going to keep releasing new models every year? Are we going to reach iPhone 50 by the time I die?
I mean, they keep making new cars so… yes?
I can’t see xitter because they say so, but this is likely speculation on next-next-gen 17 as next-gen 16 is about to be released.
No, the lead time for the design of new iPhone models is over a year. It has been the case for a number of years now that the first details already leak before the preceding model has launched.
Wow! 12GB is amazing. The surveillance capabilities will be out of this world :)

But, I think I'll be in line to buy one.

> iPhone 17 Pro Max with 12GB DRAM

Wow. More than a MacBook. /s
