I wonder what kind of people would read an epub in a terminal.
may be those we can't exit vim.
Probably the same people who have lynx open in another terminal/session and are browsing HN.
Epub are often badly formated that I disabled embedded styles by default on my kobo, and I rarely need to enable it. I rarely read them on my computer that I can’t find the need to have a special viewer (and I have calibre). A terminal reader could be great to get a peek at the content.
I notice that many of the tools (at least in the repos linked) seem to have stopped development since a couple of years.

As some of these are wrappers for tools or use APIs that could mean that they do not work any more, or without special configuration. Or that things are stable, and the tools are "done".
