Hey HN! Dante is a side project that scratches a longstanding itch of mine: a simple way of storing arbitrary data into a store with minimal/zero setup.
I do exploratory programming a lot and tinker with a bunch of throwaway projects, but every little hurdle means I'm less likely to give something a go. Dante combines the ease of use of Mongo with zero setup of SQLite, and (at least for me) lowers the activation energy needed to just start.
There are a bunch of similar tools out there, but none of them hit all the design goals I had for Dante. Also, it was fun to write! :)
