Glovera (AI College Counselor)

I’m Afsal, co-founder of Glovera. We’re building AI college counselors to help students with admissions.

Problem: The study abroad industry is unregulated, allowing anyone to become a college counselor, often leading to inaccurate and money-driven guidance.

Solution: We developed an AI counselor that conducts initial video calls with students, providing them with accurate information to make this big decision, on demand.

Quick summary:

-Our MVP is live. We had 230 users try it at education fairs, and we helped 3 students get into their dream universities.

-We’ve made $5,400 in revenue so far.

-My co-founder has 10+ years in education, and I have 8 years in tech. We met at USC during grad school.

-The market we’re targeting (study abroad, including accommodation, visas, insurance, etc.) is worth $210B.
