When we launched Cronitor our “boilerplate” was:

- django

- a bootstrap template for $20

- twilio and mailchimp integration

- stripe checkout (we charged cards manually for 3 months)

Launching a saas is like packing for a through hike. You do not want to be carrying around a bunch of code you don’t really need.

I appreciate the insight. Thank you laying some knowledge on me!
How would this vary from something like https://opensaas.sh ?
Ease of use and out of the box functionality.

OpenSaaS takes a lot of configuration and setup. SaaSavant ships as a fully functional SaaS application. Just add your environment variables and the features that make your product unique, then deploy. User sign up, account management, automated billing, emails, newsletter, landing page, support ticket system, policies, user dashboard, admin dashboard, etc. are all setup and ready to go.
